Olentangy River Wetland AmeriFlux site
AmeriFlux site US-Orv
The US-Orv flux site is hosted by the Wilma H. Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park, a long-term, large-scale aquatic research facility located along the northern edge of The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus. The 52-acre urban research site is situated adjacent to the Olentangy River and consists of two experimental wetland basins, an oxbow wetland, bottomland hardwood forest and a mesocosm compound.
The flux site is focused on quantifying and modeling of the green-house-gas budget of the wetland park, using eddy-covariance, chambers, soil and pore-water measurements of carbon and methane emission and uptake.
